Fishing is one of the most profitable skills in Runescape. Although you must train until you have a high level to receive very high profits, you can still earn money all the time you train the skill. With a small amount of fishing gear, you can earn a lot of money and easy experience, immediately. Here is a basic Runescape fishing guide that you can use to begin to master the fishing skill.
Runescape Fishing consists of buying fishing gear and bait, if the object you are using to catch fish requires bait, then go fishing in places to fish. There are many types of fish, and each fish has a fishing level requirement to catch it. Each fish has a fishing tool required to catch the fish; however, most of them use the same tools as other fish, so there are only some fishing tools. You can verify this by clicking on the Fishing skill in the Runescape game.
Now that you know all the fish in Runescape, where to find the fish, what levels are needed to catch the fish and what to use to catch them, you can now go out and train the fishing skill of Runescape. However, there are some important elements, places and an achievement that you should know when trying to master the ability to fish in Runescape.
Two important items of fishing Runescape
Two important things that you will want to know to train Fishing are swordfish gloves and shark gloves. These two pairs of gloves are used to get extra experience when using them to catch the corresponding fish. For each swordfish or shark caught, you will receive an additional 100 XP and you can also get some runescape gold from fishing. However, both gloves fall apart after capturing 1000 of the corresponding fish. These are obtained from Reggie in the Fist of Guthix mini-game for 200 tokens of Fist of Guthix.
Some important places you should know are the fishing shops and the fishermen’s guild. There is a fishing tent located in Catherby, Lumbridge, Port Sarim and Shilo Village, which is accessed after completing the Shilo Village mission. Fishing stores sell fishing equipment and various types of fish, which are usually not cooked. The Rellekka Fishmonger and Fish Stalls located in Relleka, Miscellania and Etceteria are only accessible after completing the Firmenich Trails mission.
The fishing guild
Another important place to catch fish and to access many features related to Runescape fishing, you can unlock the Fishermen’s Guild. You need 68 fishing to enter the Fishing Guild, 65 if you use a Fishing Potion, and 63 if you eat an Admiral Pie. Here you can catch much fish and deposit them in the bank within the Fishermen’s Guild. It is a very effective place to train the Runescape fishing skill. It is located west of Camelot and Seers.
